As with all topical peptides, whether enough reaches the target in intact skin is uncertain. The design pitch is selectivity and gentleness — a peptide that damps the pigment enzyme without the irritation associated with hydroquinone or the instability of kojic acid. The mechanism is genuine in the lab. The two honest gaps are the ones every topical peptide faces: whether enough intact peptide crosses the stratum corneum to act, and whether an in-vitro enzyme result translates to a visible change on real skin.
