Can you use Sunscreen (SPF) with Vitamin E?

CompatibleEvidence · Established

Complementary: vitamin E handles some of the free-radical damage that gets through the filter. Sunscreen reduces how much UV arrives, and an antioxidant like vitamin E addresses part of what still does, so they work on different halves of the same problem. Antioxidant step first, sunscreen last. Neither replaces the other, and vitamin E is no substitute for adequate SPF.

Established: Well-supported, widely-accepted cosmetic guidance.
